Rahul Gandhi claimed that he and his party fight for the Indian state as a whole, not only the BJP and the RSS, in his remarks at the opening of the Congress party’s new headquarters in Delhi.
“I have one final thing to say. Don’t believe that our battle is fair. This situation lacks fairness. You have no idea what’s going on if you think we’re battling the BJP or the RSS. Every single institution in our nation is under the control of the BJP and the RSS. Rahul Gandhi declared, “We’re now fighting the Indian state itself, the BJP, and the RSS.”
These dangerous statements are not the first time Rahul Gandhi has said them.
During his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in September 2022, Gandhi said at a press conference in Tamil Nadu, “We are no longer battling a political party. The opposition and the Indian state’s structure are now engaged in combat.
Gandhi claimed that the BJP had monopolized the nation’s institutions and had positioned followers in important roles to exercise power and influence. “The CBI, ED, and Income Tax Department have all been taken over by the BJP, which utilizes them to exert pressure on its opponents. Previously, the battle was against a political party, but now it is against the governmental system itself,” he said.
He accused the government of stifling dissent, abusing institutions, and undermining democracy in August 2022 after Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions against him in the National Herald money laundering case. Additionally, he said that the Congress was fighting systemic tyranny since the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had infiltrated important democratic institutions.
At the Pratidin Media Network-hosted ‘The Conclave 2023’ in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi stated that he and his party are engaged in a battle against the Indian State.
“Go ask any Indian businessman what happens to them if they back a political party that is in opposition. Ask them what would happen if they wrote a check to any opposition party. Rahul Gandhi declared, “We are fighting the Indian state, not a political party right now.”
